Aryan School is located in Dehradun, Uttaranchal. It was founded in April, 2001 by Dr V P Gupta of the Aryan Educational Society. Admissions to various classes are through entrance examination and interviews. The school offers classes from nursery to 10+2.
The school has a sprawling campus with modern amenities. A well-stocked library with books on science, fiction, astronomy, religion, and a collection of CD ROMs are provided. Hostel facility is also arranged. A variety of recreation and co-curricular activities are conducted. Physical education training is also provided for the students.

Academics

Student Body

- Prefectorial Body: There are section monitors- a Boy Prefect and Girl Prefect for each section, who perform duties assigned to them. Likewise, Bus Monitors maintain discipline in the school buses. The Head Boy and Head Girl, House Captains and Prefects look after the school discipline in addition to their specified duties.
- Sports Captain: All team Captains work under the directions of the Sports Captain, whose primary aim is to promote Sportsmanship amongst students.
House System
All students from Grade 1 onwards are divided into four houses - Indira, Nehru, Sarojini and Tagore. The houses, on weekly rotation, share the task of maintining discipline and decorum of the working of the school. They inculcate a healthy spirit of competition; Literary and Scientific Activities, Cultural Activities and Sports & Games are organized on Inter house basis. To encourage creative expression, children with a flair for writing are given an opportunity to contribute articles and sketches in news bulletins and on house display boards.

Our plan of study aims to make students think logically, laterally and independently. Education in DDPS is based on our belief in the infinite value and potential of each child. Each year several students are supported by scholarships funded fully or in part by benefactors of the school for nurturing the values and potential of the child.
Our Campuses
DDPS has blossomed into a vast tree and has contributed enough to make its presence felt on the educational firmament of Ghaziabad. Our first establishment is built on an area of 3 acre in Ashok Nagar; following which is our second campus located on 5 acre of land at Sec-23, Sanjay Nagar; then our third campus built on 8 acre area in Muzaffarnagar and the fourth campus also on 8 acre area in I-Block, Govindpuram. All our institutions have modern, well-blended architectural design and ambience.
Doon School Dehradun
Satish Ranjan Das, the founder of The Doon School, was one of pre-Independence India's eminent barristers and a member of the Executive Council of the Viceroy of India.
His mission was to constitute India's first public school in an era when 'Chief's Colleges' were the ultimate school experience. The Doon School was meant to provide the youth of the country with an opportunity to get an all-round education based on an adaptation of the English public school system on India's tradition-enriched soil.
In 1929, under the Indian Companies Act, with the help of eminent Indians, the Indian Public Schools' Society (IPSS) was registered as a non-profit making body. The IPSS owns the school and manages its affairs through a Board of Governors.
Though S.R. Das passed away soon after the registration, his wife and devoted friends collected the funds to start the school of his dreams in September 1935.
Sylvan surroundings and a salubrious climate are coveted trappings for any residence. The Chandbagh Estate, spread over 69 acres in Dehra Dun, was the ideal location for the school. It had been the campus for the illustrious Indian Forest College (which has since been relocated as the world-renowned Forest Research Institute). The acquisition of Skinner's Estate, from the family of the well-known Colonel Skinner of Skinner's Horse, expanded the woody and lush surroundings to an impressive self-contained 28 hectares.
Dehra Dun is located at 675 meters above sea level in the Doon Valley. It is about 250 kms north-east of Delhi and is well connected to the capital by road and rail and now by air. The Doon School nestles in the Doon Valley with the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas to the north and the Sal-clothed Shivaliks to the south. On the east and west, the Valley is bound by two of India's most famous rivers, the Ganga and the Yamuna. The climate has three main seasons- the summer heat is confined to mid-April, May and June followed by a long wet monsoon from July to September. The rest of the year is delightful, clear and crisp with December and January temperatures coming down to an average minimum of 7°C.
